In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, the use of artificial intelligence and big data in healthcare is increasingly crucial for providing comprehensive, accurate, and transparent services. In the dental field, for example, this transformation is evident in technologies like ALFRED , the IDI Evolution platform that makes AI—for the first time in this sector— an active, concrete, and real tool to support and sustain the daily work of the clinical team, ASO, and administrative staff .
As a digital memory, ALFRED standardizes processes and procedures, ensuring complete transparency and sharing with the patient. It archives all therapeutic and administrative data from the various treatments performed within a single clinic or across multiple clinics, whether by a single dentist or multiple dentists. Furthermore, the platform is programmed to provide suggestions, reminders, and thus streamline the workload of dental staff. This allows each professional to focus on the true essence of their work and, by freeing them from the burdens of lengthy and elaborate management and analog archiving processes, allows them to offer patients human support and medical care of a higher quality than previously provided. Transforming data into knowledge through AI , therefore, significantly contributes to simplifying and streamlining the staff's work, strengthening the human relationship of trust between dentist and patient, and making the latter even more aware and engaged in their own health.
Dentists, dental practices, and patients thus become a community in continuous and direct contact , able to benefit from the integrated experience of other members and, consequently, reap numerous advantages for current and future therapies. In this way, the individual's experience grows day by day alongside that of the group, triggering a virtuous cycle that aims to provide ever-improving care to patients.
As an example of the power of the ALFRED platform in terms of big data management, we present below the preliminary data relating to the innovative B1ONE plant by IDI Evolution, 24 months after its launch.
Key feature of B1ONE is that of being the first implant designed for the conformation of the tissue that will accommodate it: the bone . The B1ONE implant line therefore includes three thread morphologies for the three bone qualities, allowing the implant to be inserted in anatomical areas with morphologies and microstructures consistent with the conformation of the implant itself. B1ONE is also equipped with a neck with reduced cortical bulk, capable of achieving minimally invasive surgeries and extraordinary tissue responses that we will illustrate in future issues of Osservatorio Innovazione.
Below is the data from the ALFRED community on B1ONE:
