ALFRED is the digital platform of IDI Evolution that puts Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the service of the patient. Thanks to the support of a tool like Alfred, the entire dental practice team—clinicians, ASO team, and secretarial team—can quickly and easily reorganize their tasks, allowing them to provide greater attention and quality care to patients .

Through the use of digital technology—which profoundly changes and innovates daily clinical practice— analog archiving procedures are significantly standardized and simplified. Photographs , for example, are an important element in the patient care journey: good photographic documentation, from diagnosis through treatment to follow-up, represents an important communication tool that brings the doctor and patient closer together.

For this step, therefore, a device like the innovative IDICAM from IDI Evolution is crucial. It connects to the ALFRED platform and simplifies, automates, and speeds up the data acquisition and archiving process. Extraoral and intraoral photos are taken following a predefined and customizable set of instructions that guides the clinician and the ASOs. Technology like this, therefore, allows the dentist to produce high-quality, standardized, and comparable photos across the various angles available. Once acquired, the photo is archived directly in the cloud, within the patient's "advanced medical record" on ALFRED, without the need for any type of export via cables, cards, or other intermediate devices.

With the support of artificial intelligence , ALFRED archives the photographs taken and, by integrating the available patient documentation, increases the percentage value of the Completeness and Safety Index (ICS) of the ongoing treatment plan. This process allows for the generation of a medicolegal value based on the quality of the documentation collected for the patient.

Furthermore, photographing and viewing these images stimulates the entire clinical team and ASOs, further highlighting not only the starting point of the treatment but also the progress made. In addition to the features already listed, IDICAM also highlights positive aspects and encourages professionals to engage in ongoing self-analysis and self-assessment aimed at perfecting their work. This process therefore triggers a virtuous cycle that improves the quality of patient care and encourages the team to grow. Furthermore, the photos archived in ALFRED (a web-based platform) are quickly and easily accessible within the patient's medical record, both in the office and remotely by the clinician. This allows for seamless image sharing with the patient. On this topic, we would like to thank Dr. Alessandro Minniti for sharing his experience.

The simplicity of taking photos and their repeatability , both in terms of results and position between shots, allows the clinician and the entire team to perform accurate measurements, even of gingival improvement indices in implantology. Treating implant-prosthetic patients with two-stage implants with an intracoronal connection B1ONE requires, from the very first steps of the surgical procedure, a careful assessment of the pre-operative status quo. Likewise, particular attention must be paid, over time, to the progression of maturation and stabilization of the peri-implant soft tissues in terms of both volume and morphology. The yield and chromatic repeatability make the assessment even easier. Last but not least, the overlaps between the initial and final states allow the patient to be shown the outcome of their treatment , significantly increasing both their involvement and compliance for a future maintenance process of the achieved result.

Below, we report the photographic documentation taken using IDICAM and archived in ALFRED of two clinical cases treated using the IDI Evolution B1ONE implant , in which it is possible to appreciate the excellent response of the soft tissues around the concave neck with reduced cortical bulk of the implant: STS_Soft Tissue Stabilizer.
