Align Technology hosted the Align Italian Summit 2025 at the Ariston Theater in Sanremo. This biennial event, held on April 4-5, 2025, brought together over 850 dentists and orthodontists from across Italy for two days of training and innovation.

The Align Italian Summit 2025 focused on improving the practice and patient experience, elevating it for patients, physicians, and team members. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about Align's latest innovations and deepen their knowledge from national and international speakers through lectures and roundtable discussions. Sessions covered best practices in workflow, hands-on experiences to hone clinical skills, and strategies for practice growth, consumer education, and patient conversion.

Attendees had the opportunity to discover and interact with Align's latest innovations and their day-to-day applications.

iTero Lumina Resto and Pro : The iTero Lumina scanner now includes restorative capabilities, enabling diagnostic, restorative, and orthodontic-prosthetic and multidisciplinary workflows. The new iTero Lumina “Pro” model features NIRI technology, which offers superior clinical accuracy and simplifies the acquisition of difficult-to-reach areas for prosthetics, palates, and edentulous spaces.

Align X-ray Insights : Align X-ray Insights uses advanced artificial intelligence algorithms to automatically analyze and annotate radiographic abnormalities. This software increases diagnostic accuracy, simplifies patient communication, and improves treatment planning.

Invisalign Palatal Expander : A 3D-printed device consisting of a series of removable devices that move in small increments to expand the patient's narrow jaw to a position determined by the treating physician. Each device is customized to the patient's unique anatomy, based on an iTero intraoral digital scan.

Invisalign Mandibular Advancement System with Occlusal Blocks : Used to introduce mandibular skeletal changes in the treatment of Class I and Class II malocclusions, severe open bite, severe overjet, deep bite, skeletally narrow jaws and in those requiring surgical correction.

Invisalign Smile Architect with Multiple Treatment Plans : This software allows doctors to visually compare and modify orthodontic and ortho-restorative treatment plans. Multiple treatment plans are integrated into the ClinCheck® treatment planning software to allow doctors to visually compare, review, and choose the best treatment option for each patient.

These innovations integrate with the Align™ digital platform, Align's exclusive combination of software, systems, and services designed to provide a seamless experience and workflow that integrates and connects all users: clinicians, labs, patients, and consumers. It offers a single ecosystem for visual orthodontic and restorative treatment planning, including facial lines, tooth mass analysis, and in-face visualizations.

During the summit, Align also presented its recent partnership with IDI Evolution, an Italian company specializing in dental implantology and related technology. IDI Evolution has developed Alfred, an AI-powered platform that revolutionizes dental practice management, clinical operations, and patient communication.
