IDI Evolution closed out 2025 with particularly strong results in terms of sales and, above all, innovation.
In 2025, IDI Evolution recorded sales of 21.6 million euros, representing a 40% increase over the previous year.
Within the IDI ecosystem, the IDI RDL dental laboratory specializing in artistic finishing also achieved significant results, with revenue nearing €2 million, marking a 58% year-over-year increase.
This economic growth was accompanied by a significant internal organizational strengthening: 25 new employees were hired; the sales network across the peninsula was expanded, now comprising 48 professionals active nationwide; and finally, there was a 25% increase in new customers acquired compared to 2024.
This performance confirms the strength of IDI Evolution’s business model and the company’s ability to consolidate its presence in the Italian market.
IDI Evolution has announced the launch of a strategic partnership in Italy with Align Technology, with the specific aim of helping general dentists integrate pre-prosthetic dental alignment as a standard step in restorative treatment planning, rather than as a separate discipline.
The partnership combines Align’s comprehensive digital ecosystem with the clinical and laboratory expertise of IDI Makers to enable a simplified and predictable digital workflow that supports decision-making and the execution of restorative treatments.
In this new synergistic partnership, IDI Makers will play a key role in facilitating the exchange between clinical practice and technology, translating digital planning into clinically effective solutions aligned with treatment goals, and acting as a central hub between the dental practice and digital systems.
The result is a guided, integrated end-to-end process that enables dentists to improve clinical outcomes and enhance the final aesthetics of restorations, increasing the patient’s understanding of the proposed treatment plan while facilitating discussion and dialogue regarding the treatment plan.
2025 was a strategic year, particularly in terms of innovation.
The OPENDENT Plaque Detector has been granted a patent by the EPO. The device, which enables the detection of dental plaque for home use, is now officially recognized throughout Europe, including Italy.
This European recognition represents a strategic step forward for the company and for patient safety. The technology makes it possible to visualize dental plaque in a simple and immediately understandable way, allowing for direct use without the intervention of a specialist and thus introducing a functional, accessible, and effective solution.
The project also received funding under the Lombardy Region’s PR FESR 2021-2027 Regional Program, drawn from the European Regional Development Fund.
On the implant front, a patent was also filed for the ISA abutment as a component of the B2TWO implant line, strengthening the company’s positioning in the high-tech segment.
Finally, during the year, the merger between IDI Evolution and IDI Makers was completed, resulting in a single company under the name IDI Evolution, with the aim of strengthening the company’s integration, efficiency, and production capacity.
At the same time, significant structural investments were made, including the expansion of the IDI Makers department and a major upgrade of the IDI RDL laboratory, with the creation of a new ceramics room now equipped with 26 workbenches dedicated to the handcrafted finishing of prosthetic solutions as well as upgrades to the milling, quality control, finishing, logistics, and warehouse departments.
“2025 was a pivotal year for IDI. The industrial development plan effectively supported commercial growth and the strengthening of our production capacity,” commented Andrea Piantoni, CEO of IDI Evolution, concluding: “The results achieved confirm that the path we have taken focused on technological innovation in products and services, and on patient-centered care is the right path to continue growing and contributing to the evolution of the dental sector.”
