IDI RDL presents IDI RDL “Firma”, a new premium prosthetic finishing line that combines technological innovation, manufacturing excellence, and the authentic value of Made in Italy. The project was conceived to enhance the artisanal expertise of the laboratory’s master dental technicians and to offer clinicians an exclusive service, where each prosthetic device becomes an expression of experience, precision, and aesthetic sensitivity.
Today, high-quality dental laboratories are undergoing a significant transformation, and the craftsmanship of this profession—handed down through generations—is increasingly at risk.
In a market that is becoming ever faster and more oriented toward digital innovation and process efficiency, IDI RDL moves in the opposite direction, reaffirming its pioneering technological vocation while maintaining at its core what has always been the true distinguishing element of the dental laboratory: the quality of manual work, a culture of detail, and the artistic excellence of its professionals.
With the company’s growth and the consolidation of an advanced industrial structure, IDI Evolution has chosen to support IDI RDL in this new chapter, aimed at strengthening the value of its artisanal identity through a proposition that makes it even more recognizable to dental practices.
From the shared objective of celebrating the artisanal dimension of the dental profession comes IDI RDL “Firma”: within GOLDBOX - the packaging dedicated to the final prosthesis - an official certificate is included, confirming that the finalization has been carried out by the laboratory’s master dental technicians, entirely "Made in Italy".
For each prosthesis produced, it is therefore possible to request the “Firma” label—an added value that embodies technical expertise combined with the vision of professionals representing excellence in Italian dental technology. For this reason, the certificate also features a dedicated QR code containing images of the manufacturing process, enabling clinicians to transparently present to patients the artisanal origin and quality of the prosthetic work.
Within a team of approximately 50 dental technicians, four master ceramists have been selected: Sabino Andriano, Claudio Carini, Thomas Cossa, and Fabrizio Tordi, who will be responsible for premium productions, ensuring high quality standards, tailored attention, and a unique level of customization.
Each prosthesis is developed as a tailor-made project, based on the individual characteristics of the patient. Although dentistry increasingly benefits from digital evolution, prosthetic finalization remains a highly skilled manual craft aimed at recreating natural aesthetics, comfort, and the sensory experience patients had prior to treatment, restoring both functional integrity and visual harmony.
The IDI RDL “Firma” line includes some of the most востребated finishing solutions currently on the market, including ceramic layering on zirconia, metal, and lithium disilicate, as well as feldspathic veneers and monolithic 441.
“Within IDI Evolution, we are working to evolve our sector across all its dimensions through a clear strategic path one that drives innovation without losing sight of detail. With IDI RDL ‘Firma,’ we celebrate a unique heritage of expertise, rooted in Italian dental tradition and strengthened by our ability to innovate for the future,” stated Andrea Piantoni, Chief Executive Officer of IDI Evolution. “We will continue to invest in quality, people, and technology, providing professionals with excellence-driven solutions that combine industrial precision with artisanal value. This new line fully represents the vision of the IDI ecosystem: to grow while preserving what makes us distinctive.”
“With this new project, IDI RDL reaffirms a clear vision: technology accelerates processes, but true excellence still originates from the hands of masters,” commented Davide Ronchi, Head of IDI RDL. “IDI RDL ‘Firma’ symbolizes a prosthesis that is not merely produced, but interpreted, refined, and signed. Tailored for the clinician, tailored for the patient—because we believe the future of dental technology lies in digital innovation, while preserving a deeply artisanal soul.”
