The partnership between IDI EVOLUTION and ALIGN TECHNOLOGY aims to help general dentists incorporate dental alignment into their restorative treatment planning through a shared digital workflow between the dental office and the laboratory, with the goal of meeting the growing aesthetic expectations of a new generation of patients.
1. Acquisition
The dentist performs an intraoral scan using the iTero Lumina™, takes photos and videos of the patient, and writes the prescription.
2. Design
IDI MAKERS performs diagnostic wax-ups using Exocad ART, and Align® performs pre-prosthetic alignment.
3. Introduction
The dentist receives a realistic simulation in the form of a TruSmile™ Video, TruSmile™ Photo, and ClinCheck® to present to the patient.
4. Alignment and Restraint
Once the treatment plan is approved, the dentist receives the Invisalign® ART pre-retainer clear aligners, and at the end of treatment, the Vivera™ clear retainers.
5. Prosthetics
The dentist may choose to complete the case using WHITEBOX (Flow Injection) or GOLDBOX (veneers, crowns, inlays, etc.).
